The Phoenix.

Jokes an pranks and laughs and joy,

were all words of a foreign lullaby,
that put me to gentle slumber,
sleep so profound and deep.
the humming sound rings in my ears,
soothing pains that had left a smear.
the calm hands patted my back,
cleaning sorrows off the memories intact,
it was time that i realised,
life wasnt a struggle,
it was a road straight
rough journeys and scars and fears,
followed through till you tear.
all secrets not be known,
yet hope had a few seeds sown.
standing here i am facing the universe,
tired of bearing a life of curse,
free life is that i wish,
not that of a trapped fish.

I shall rise as high as the stars,
out of my ashes,
leaving behind the scars,
wearing the happy sashes,
breaking the parallel bars
No matter what i go through,
i'll step up,
no matter how hard it gets
now and forever i will have no regrets,
for i am born to win.
